Let’s start from the beginning of our beauty story.
We’re biological sisters and when growing up, we were always reminded to be presentable when going out – may that be just a quick shower plus simple gloss, powder, or tinge of scent too. But it was challenging for us to find the best beauty product because even though we had different skin types, we both had sensitive skins. That’s why, we needed to and loved swatching out makeup and testing skincare products before buying them so we can save money.
However due to the pandemic and for hygienic reasons, testing out brands and products in beauty stalls cannot be possible. That’s where our love for beauty subscription boxes came in.

Back in the day, pyxis /pik-sis/ is a cylindrical box with a separate lid, mostly used by women to hold cosmetics, trinkets, or jewelry. So, the Beauty Pyxis literally means a beauty box, a box containing surprise beauty products that arrive at your doorstep every month. It’s also a simple way of treating oneself or allowing a friend to have that unique monthly experience, just like celebrating one’s birthday every month with wonderful gifts.
